How Children Can Make A Change – Earth Day Poem

How Children Can Make a Change

When it comes to helping the planet, we can all give a helping hand.

From the children sitting right in front of me to the children in a faraway land.

There are lots of things we can do by ourselves or with our mum and dad, to help the planet to be happy and not sad.

You might think it’s quicker to throw the rubbish to the ground, but if you look carefully there are lots of bins around.

You might wonder why there are lots of bins with different coloured tags, but each help you sort your recycling bags.

Take a moment to think about what colour bin your rubbish should be in so that you can make new things with the rubbish you have binned.

Something else you can do to help the planet bloom, is turn off a light when you leave your room.

Another thing you can do to show that you care is to turn off the water for a bit when you are washing your hair…but don’t forget to turn the water back on, to leave your hair clean, shiny, nice, and strong.

When you go to meet friends remember to choose, a water bottle that you can reuse.

I know we can do it, I believe in you. Together we can keep our planet beautiful, green, and blue.
